With constantly changing interior styles, the most important step is discovering a client’s source of inspiration and creating a design that is meaningful to them and their lifestyle; an environment that will remain timeless, unique and offer many years of aesthetic enjoyment and comfort.

To achieve an interior that is as beautiful as it is functional requires a strong client-designer relationship with open communication.

For clients who know exactly what they want, I help them to achieve and enhance their vision. When clients are less sure, I help them formulate their own aesthetic.

In both cases, they become closely involved in every part of the design process, from architectural plans, space layouts, through furniture, fabric, paint and accessory selections. Whether working from a clean slate or incorporating existing design elements, I like to give homes a touch of energy and youthfulness to create a fresh and sophisticated mood; elegantly simple, and delightfully livable.

Influenced by global vision and experience

My passion and interest in design began in Europe where I lived, worked and traveled for 25 years. I studied at The Interior Design School of London, England and most recently completed my certification in the Feng Shui School of Form and Compass while spending a summer in Hong Kong.

From single family homes to apartments, ski and waterfront residences, I have completed very different interiors for satisfied clients in Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, New York and Long Island. I am fluent in English, Dutch and French and have traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East and most recently China and South East Asia.

For over 15 years I have designed sophisticated and up-to-date versions of any period or style, solving design challenges and carrying a client’s project from the conceptual phase to the final installation. I firmly believe in smart and integral design that incorporates green building and sustainable materials. I work collaboratively with architects, engineers, builders and craftsmen who share the same philosophy.
